Teaching phylosophy
My teaching is centered on production of singing-like quality piano tone in the tradition of the Russian Piano School method, and developing a well rounded musician and virtuoso pianist.

DMA and MM in Piano Performance, Pedagogy, and Collaborative Piano. 25 years of university and pre-college level teaching experience.

CHILDREN
Inspire your child and yourself to sink in the magic ocean of beautiful sounds and music making! Designed for children with or without previous piano experience, from 5 y.o. and up. Conducted in creative and fun atmosphere, the lessons will be tailored to individual approach for each student’s goals and abilities, and based on/develop the following features:

- Piano posture and basic piano technique complex
- Music theory and history
- Imagination and creativity

ADULTS
Enrich yourself with the magic of music making and surprise your loved ones with your ability to express feelings through favorite music pieces!
Designed for adults with or without previous piano experience, all levels and ages. Lessons will be tailored to individual approach for each student’s goals and needs, and based/develop the following features:

- Enrich sound production

- Prepare for performances in recitals and festivals
ADVANCED-Young Artists Program
Intended for teenagers, and adults who wish to advance in learning the art of professional piano playing and/or interested in pursuing a degree in music college. Lessons will be based on your music goal and develop the following features:
- Critical listening and thinking
- Explore music styles and broaden your repertoire
- Improve music theory and history knowledge
- Preparation for music college entrance exams
- Advance/correct your technique and sound production
- Music interpretation skills
- Prepare for competitions, auditions, and festivals
- Preparation/participation in piano master clases
ONLINE
Pursue your dream of piano learning at the comfort or your own home with an in-person teacher, and from any point of the globe without need to travel to a teacher! Lessons are designed for children and adults of any age and level, with or without a previous piano experience. You need a computer/tablet/iPad/smart phone with installed camera and a piano/keyboard. Lessons will be based on your music goals/needs and develop the following features:
- Cultivation of admiration for music
- Development of correct piano posture
- Work on establishing /improving piano technique
- Music imagination and creativity
- Critical listening and thinking
- Cultivation of focus on a task and labor discipline
- Participation in on-line competitions and festivals
CHAMBER ENSEMBLe, piano duet, and Collaborative piano COACHING
Light up your interest to share your music making with peers and colleagues! These lessons are intended for any pianist, interested to establish, develop, and improve their piano accompanying and collaborative skills. The enrollment is also open to a singer-pianist duet, piano duet, instrumentalist-pianist duet team, or a larger group such as trio, quartet, etc. You will learn/develop ability to:
- Listen, follow, and adjust to your partner's specific music needs
- Follow your partner(s) music line in the score along with your own piano part
- Pick up both visual and auditory clues, specific to voice/ instrument
- Learn to read and recognize different clefs
- Sight-reading skills and some transpositions skills
- Establish open-minded, trusting professional relationship with your partner
- Establish/improve the piano technique, specific to vocal/instrumental collaboration
RCM Certificate amd ABRSM diploma program OPPORTUNITIES
Any student of any age and level may request to adjust their lessons’ plan to prepare them for either RCM or ABRSM examination program. Please be aware that each program requires some additional time to prepare for exams such as: theory, harmony, analysis, history, ear training, sight-reading, and technique (scales/chords/arpeggio performance).
